Marilyn Monroe

January 18, 2018 @ 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

It is one of the most iconic photographs ever taken: Marilyn Monroe standing over a subway grate in the summer during “The Seven Year Itch.” People who have never seen the film; in fact people who have never seen a Marilyn Monroe film immediately know who she is.

Her fame was so great, her life was so tempestuous, her love affairs so notorious, her films so great, her sadness so profound and her death so mysterious that this multimedia presentation is mesmerizing and compelling.

One of the most neglected aspects of Marilyn
Monroe’s story is just how terrific an actress she was! Although Marilyn’s looks are what got her parts in movies, she was a serious actress who worked hard to perfect her craft. In a career that was about one decade long, she managed to star in some of the best films ever produced in Hollywood. We will look at her career and her immense talent.

This biography will also look at the private Marilyn, her affair with John F. Kennedy, her marriages to famous men and the controversy surrounding her tragic death.
