1947 – Time Capsule of America 75 Years Ago

Today, our time capsule lands 75 years ago in the tumultuous and traumatic year of 1947.
Jackie Robinson integrated baseball and opened the door to the civil rights movement. The United Nations agreed to the framework that would become Israel and opened the door to be the establishment of that nation. The transistor was invented, opening the door to the miniaturization of electronics.
Frances Cleveland and Al Capone left us while Hillary Clinton and Stephen King joined us. The number one movie of the year is completely forgotten, get the number 45 movie of the year is a perennial classic! 1947 is a unique and fascinating year!
