For almost a century, the name “Clarence Darrow” has been synonymous with a brave, courageous lawyer fighting for the rights of the disadvantaged and wrongfully accused. The real Blair and Darrow was such a man. He took on unpopular causes and defended clients who were despised and supported causes that were vilified by the media.
Darrow passionately defended Leopold & Loeb, the most notorious murders in America, and saved them from the electric chair. In the “Scopes Monkey Trial,” Clarence Darrow’s zealous advocacy for academic freedom and science riveted the nation.
In this fascinating, brand-new multimedia presentation, we will look at how one lawyer helped change our field of the wall, humankind, and ourselves. From the Scopes Trial to Leopold and Loeb, Clarence Darrow was in the middle of many legal controversies that we will explore as we look at the life of a complex, controversial, and charismatic man.
