breathtaking, and visionary that 75 years after Oklahoma premiered and changed the entire course of American musical theater, it still thrills audiences. When it was revived in 2019, with an African American woman in the lead and a brilliant actress in a wheelchair playing Ado Annie, it won the Tony Award as the best musical revival!
Using numerous clips from Broadway and the movies, fascinating behind-the-scenes anecdotes, and fascinating biographical information on each member of the team, cultural historian (and self-described Broadway Nerd) Barry Bradford will take us deep into the legacy and the impact of the most fabulous Broadway songwriting duo of all times: Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II!
