Every month brings new controversies, heated debates, and headlines that leave many Americans wondering: Why is everyone arguing about this?
In this special current events program, award-winning historian and political analyst Barry Bradford takes a deeper look at several of the issues that generated the most questions and discussion during recent news presentations. Rather than focusing on breaking news, this program explores the history, politics, and constitutional questions behind today’s biggest controversies.
Topics will include the debate surrounding a proposed compensation fund for individuals 
who believe they were harmed by actions of the Biden administration, ongoing battles over redistricting and the Voting Rights Act, and the controversy surrounding proposed additions to Washington’s monumental landscape, including a new ballroom and ceremonial arch.
Along the way, Barry will explain the arguments being made by supporters and opponents, provide historical context, and separate political rhetoric from reality.
The presentation concludes with an extended audience question-and-answer session 
covering the issues, events, and controversies making headlines today. Filled with historical perspective, video clips, audience participation, and thoughtful analysis, this program is designed to help make sense of a rapidly changing political world.
