SUMMARY:Marilyn Monroe
DESCRIPTION: It is one of the most iconic photographs ever taken: Marilyn Monroe standing over a subway grate in the summer during “The Seven Year Itch.” People who have never seen the film; in fact people who have never seen a Marilyn Monroe film immediately know who she is. \nHer fame was so great\, her life was so tempestuous\, her love affairs so notorious\, her films so great\, her sadness so profound and her death so mysterious that this multimedia presentation is mesmerizing and compelling. \nOne of the most neglected aspects of Marilyn \n  Monroe’s story is just how terrific an actress she was! Although Marilyn’s looks are what got her parts in movies\, she was a serious actress who worked hard to perfect her craft. In a career that was about one decade long\, she managed to star in some of the best films ever produced in Hollywood. We will look at her career and her immense talent. \nThis biography will also look at the private Marilyn\, her affair with John F. Kennedy\, her marriages to famous men and the controversy surrounding her tragic death.

SUMMARY:Irving Berlin
DESCRIPTION:Irving Berlin has often been called the most quintessentially American songwriter of all time. This is high praise for anyone – especially for an immigrant from Russia who came to America and not speaking a word of English. As with so many immigrants\, Berlin came to love this country with a deep and abiding passion. He never lost his sense of gratitude to the USA!  But Irving Berlin’s music is much more than just the unforgettable “God Bless America.”  \nOver the course of a 60-year career\, Irving Berlin wrote more than 1500 songs. While many are forgotten\, his best work stands among the best work ever written for the movies and the Broadway stage.  when Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers were dancing “Cheek to Cheek\,”  they were dancing to Irving Berlin’s music. When soldiers lamented “Oh\, How I Hate to Get up in the Morning\,” they were singing Irving Berlin. On Christian holidays\, people saying “White Christmas” or  “Easter Parade.”  I wonder how many of those people remembered that the songs were written by a Jewish man who celebrated neither Eastern or Christmas! \n The life and career of Irving Berlin\, from “Alexander’s Ragtime Band” to  “Annie Get Your Gun” is one of the most fascinating stories of American popular culture history. I can’t wait to share with you in this wonderful multimedia presentation.
