The “aw shucks” small town boy with a passion for flying became the first person ever to fly solo across the Atlantic. “Lucky Lindy” was the most famous\, popular and revered man of his time. When\nhis infant son was kidnapped from crib while his parents were at home\, Lindbergh was again the biggest news story in the country. While police frantically searched for the kidnapped boy\, Lindbergh did everything in his power to find his son. He had gangsters trying to help\, followed “psychics” to obscure locations and accompanied an innocent civilian who strangely became the go-between with the kidnappers.  \nAfter the boy’s body was discovered\, Charles Lindbergh became a star witness in the second “Crime Of The Century.” (Click here to read about the first!) The verdict in that trial became as controversial and widely debated as would the O. J. Simpson case near the end of the century.
