SUMMARY:Harriet Tubman and Rosa Parks
DESCRIPTION:Harriet Tubman and Rosa Parks are two of the greatest heroes in American history. Each of these courageous women risked her life for the betterment of others. Neither achieved wealth\, and both knew great sorrow before becoming historical icons. \n  \n Mrs. Tubman is best known for risking her life on numerous missions deep behind enemy lines to rescue people suffering under the unspeakable cruelty of slavery. She was also an army spy\, nurse\, cook\, and the first woman in American military history to lead Army troops into battle \n  \nAmerica remembers Mrs. Parks for the courageous moment in which her act of humane refusal to submit to the segregation system’s unspeakable cruelty help to spark a revolution for the betterment of all of America. But she was a long-time civil rights activist\, educator\, and philanthropist whose long lifetime uplifted the United States. Comparison to Mrs. Parks in American history\, click here! \n  \nAs we consider Harriet Chapman and Rosa Parks\, we discover how one courageous person’s act of heroism can inspire and change a nation. Amazingly\, Mrs. Tubman and Mrs. Parks were alive at the same time for 34 days. Click here to read more. Mrs. Tubman died 34 days after Rosa Parks was born. It’s not hard to imagine that as a passing of the torch to The next generation of heroic women.
