SUMMARY:Best Movies About Politics (Part I)
DESCRIPTION:Films will be presented chronologically. \nPolitics and the movies are a match made in heaven! Movies need compelling characters\, suspenseful plots\, unexpected twists\, and a great conclusion. Politics provides all the above and then some! In this remarkable new presentation\, Best Movies About Politics\, I’ll present my admittedly idiosyncratic list of the best films ever made about American politics. Some are dramas\, and some are comedies. Some are old classics\, and some are very modern. Some are well-known\, critically acclaimed Hollywood films\, and others are excellent but obscure! \nBest Movies About Politics\nThis fun\, fascinating\, and fast-moving presentation is one of my favorites\, combining my love of great cinema with a lifelong fascination with elections. And where else will you find a list that plausibly contains Henry Fonda\, Eddie Murphy\, Kirk Douglas\, George Clooney\, and Jimmy Stewart? From directors Frank Capra and Preston Sturges to Rob Reiner and screenwriters Aaron Sorkin to Rod Serling\, some of the most incredible talent in movie history have tackled the subject of elections in films that are entertaining\, thought-provoking\, and often unforgettable. We will look at clips from some of them and consider others! \nOf course\, we will leave time for discussion and your choices. Let’s see what everyone else chooses as the best movies about politics! \n

SUMMARY:First Look: The Election Of 2024
DESCRIPTION:It is 100 days before the election! \nIn this exciting and all-new presentation\, I will break down the electoral strategies of the Harris and the Trump campaigns\, showing you which states are in play\, what factors will be important in the final vote\, and answering all your questions. \nWe will also look at the crucial battle for the US Senate\, highlighting each of the states in play. With Republicans sure to pick up one seat in West Virginia\, all the GOP would need to get control of the Senate would be one more seat. Can the Democrats hold them off? SUMMARY:Grover Cleveland - The Greatest President You Don't Know
DESCRIPTION:Here is a fun piece of political trivia. Name all the men who one the popular vote for president more than twice. Franklin Delano Roosevelt\, obviously. Andrew Jackson did it after first being robbed of the presidency by a deal made in the electoral college. But who is the third? The answer is Grover Cleveland -the best president you don’t know about!  Cleveland of one of the popular vote in three consecutive elections: 1880\, 1884\, and 1888. Grover Cleveland served two consequential  nonconsecutive terms after losing the Electoral College in a very narrow  contest in 1884. \nOne measure of presidential popularity is the ability to get reelected.  By being the choice of the American public three consecutive times\, Cleveland established himself as president who earned the trust of the American public. \nAs the only Democrat elected between the Civil War and 1912\, Grover Cleveland  was noted as a man of stubborn honesty and personal integrity even by those who bitterly opposed his policies.   Be sure to read this article about  his amazing life – our first superstar First Lady. This  completely unique multimedia presentation will educate\, entertain and intrigue you!
