SUMMARY:The Many Faces of Danny Kaye
DESCRIPTION:The Many Faces of Danny Kaye\nHe was a brilliant comic. He sang well enough to do duets with Bing Crosby\, Louis Armstrong\, and Beverly Sills. Danny Kaye danced beautifully with Vera-Ellen\, often considered the best technical dancer in the movies. His movies gathered legions of fans. His TV show won awards. But the many faces of Danny Kaye are not limited to his unparalleled career in entertainment. Danny Kaye was also a gourmet chef\, a licensed pilot\, a  baseball team owner\, a devoted gardener\, and\, most importantly\, the first celebrity to become an international spokesman for a charity. \n  \nDanny Kaye’s involvement with UNICEF set the model that countless celebrities would follow. He traveled the world\, again and again\, to draw attention to the plight of children living in harsh circumstances. When UNICEF was awarded the Nobel peace prize\, the organization asked Danny Kaye to accept the award. \nIt’s hard to name another entertainer who could do all the things Danny Kaye could do – nor name an entertainer more committed to charity. \nThe many faces of Danny Kaye also involve a darker side. Despite the fact that he seemed affable\, Danny Kaye was a complex man\, not always easy to love or understand. In this fast-paced multimedia presentation\, filled with fabulous film clips\, you will get to know the many faces of Danny Kaye.

SUMMARY:1925: Life in America 100 Years Ago
DESCRIPTION:Step back to 1925\, the heart of the Roaring Twenties\, when jazz ruled the airwaves\, flappers danced the Charleston\, and speakeasies thrived under Prohibition. This was a year of cultural transformation\, as F. Scott Fitzgerald published The Great Gatsby\, revealing the glitz and pitfalls of the American Dream\, while  Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington brought jazz into the mainstream. On the political front\, Calvin Coolidge presided over a booming economy\, and innovation flourished with inventions like the first mechanical television. \n1925 was also a year of contrasts. While the Scopes Monkey Trial sparked a national debate on science versus religion\, the Harlem Renaissance was in full swing\, reshaping literature and the arts. In entertainment\, silent film stars like Charlie Chaplin\, Rudolph Valentino\, and Buster Keaton captivated audiences\, while the first New Yorker magazine hit newsstands\, offering a new perspective on culture and humor. Consumer prices\, such as 54 cents for a gallon of gas\, highlight the economic reality of the time. Dick Van Dyke\, Malcolm X\, Johnny Carson\, and Robert F Kennedy were all born during the amazing year of 1925. \nThis fast-moving multimedia program brings 1925 vividly to life with visuals\, music\, and storytelling. SUMMARY:Movies About Lincoln - Abraham Lincoln On Film
DESCRIPTION:No American President has been portrayed on film more often than Abraham Lincoln! \nFrom the earliest days of silent movies\, Lincoln has been featured in more films than all other Presidents combined. The most brilliant of these iconic performances can be seen in John Ford’s groundbreaking “Young Mr. Lincoln” starring Henry Fonda. Raymond Massey played Lincoln so often on stage\, in movies\, and on TV that George S. Kaufman famously observed: “[Raymond] Massey won’t be satisfied until he’s assassinated!” \nEven in contemporary films such as Spielberg’s “Lincoln\,” the myth of Honest Abe grows and evolves with each movie. In this insightful\, mesmerizing\, and nostalgic multimedia presentation\, you will see my work as a Lincoln scholar combined with my love of classic cinema!
