SUMMARY:The Mafia Battle For New York
DESCRIPTION:The Mafia And The Battle For New York \nFrom the Godfather to the Sopranos\, from Capone to Boardwalk Empire\, America is fascinated with the Mafia. And the story of  the Mafia wars for the control of New York City is among the fascinating stories in American History. \nThe Mafia’s roots were in an extortion gang called The Black Hand. They terrorized Enrico Caruso and lured an American policeman\, Joseph Petrosino\, to his death in Italy. (Click here to read this amazing story.) \n \nAfter a series of bloody wars that dominated the headlines and provided fodder for dozens of movies\, Lucky Luciano  consolidated power\, arranged for the drug trade and formed a national board of directors for the Mafia! Among the fascinating personalities covered in this fascinating multimedia presentation are Meyer Lanky\, Al Capone\, Frank Costello\, Nucky Thompson\, and many others – you will be amazed at how organized crime became one of the biggest businesses in America \n

I used the ideas contained in this speech! Whether you want more personal success\, a happier private life or both\, I’ll show you an easy but challenging route! \nThe “secret to success” is no secret – we already contain all the knowledge we need to have the lives we want.  In my acclaimed motivational speech\, I demonstrate how to take what you already know and turn it into the realization of your dreams. We are all just a few small adjustments away from making our lives work the way we hope they will!

SUMMARY:Reconsidering The Presidents
DESCRIPTION:At one time\, Harry Truman was generally considered to be the worst President of all time! At their worst\, President Truman’s approval numbers were even lower than Presidents G. W. Bush\, Jimmy Carter or Donald Trump!  Yet today\, many historians consider him to be one of the best Presidents! How\, why\, and when did this shift in historical opinion take place? Could Presidents Bush\, Clinton or Trump someday be seen in a more favorable light? \nThe sam is true for President Ulysses S. Grant. For almost 150 years\, Grant was often used as an example of a terrible President. Although public opinion polling did not exist in Grant’s day. his stock has certainly over the years. \nThe reverse can be true as well. Andrew Jackson’s legacy has suffered a serious decline over the years \nIn this unique multimedia presentation\, we will consider why historians have changed their minds about some of the Presidents!

SUMMARY:Sidney Poitier
DESCRIPTION:Sidney Poitier is\, without question\, one of the greatest actors in the history of American film. \nAdditionally\, Sidney Poitier is the man who broke the color barrier in Hollywood. Like Barack Obama or Jackie Robinson\, he was more than just a symbol. He was a man of great talent\, skill and accomplishment. His success was not only his\, but a reminder of how America had squelched the talents of so many talented citizens.  \nMany fans of the “Golden Era” of “classic films” – including myself – have had to come to grips with the racist\, segregationist nature of those movies. Judy Garland\, Fred Astaire and Cary Grant were great actors and their films remain wildly enjoyable. But look at the films as a whole and you will see the leading roles are all played by white actors. Black actors appear as slaves\, domestics\, field hands\, or drivers. As great as Garland\, Astaire and Grant were\, it’s important to remember they were given opportunities denied to Lena Horne\, the Nicholas Brothers or any black man before Sidney Poitier. The racism of classic Hollywood denied us from appreciating some great talent. Just as the quality of baseball became better when it integrated\, so did movies improve after Sidney Poitier helped open the door. A society is stronger when all its citizens can participate. \nHowever\, his career should not be seen only as historic and groundbreaking. He was a great actor! Sidney Poitier\, in his best roles\, was simply magnificent. \nWatch “The Defiant Ones\,” “Blackboard Jungle\,” “Lillies Of The Field\,” “In The Heat Of The Night\,” “To Sir\, With Love\,” and “A Patch Of Blue” and you see a great actor at the top of his game. You can even see him in a movie with Dan Aykroyd! Poitier could be as suave as Cary Grant\, as intense as Humphrey Bogart\, as relatable as Jimmy Stewart. And unlike those other great actors\, Sidney Poitier went on to have a fabulous director of money making movies! \nJoin us for a fascinating multimedia look at the life and career of the great Sidney Poitier!
