SUMMARY:2022 Election Preview
DESCRIPTION:The midterm elections of 2022 will have an immense impact on the last two years of President Joe Biden’s first term. \nIf the Republicans win the Senate\, they have vowed to use their clout to block any Supreme Court nominations. Suppose they win control of the House of Representatives. In that case\, it is unlikely that President Biden will be able to pass any sweeping changes regarding gun safety\, expanding the social safety net\, slowing climate change\, or expanding voting rights. \nJust as the Democratic wave of 2018 shut down much of the agenda of former President Trump\, this election could be crucial in establishing how America will deal with many issues over the next two tears. I will highlight several critical Gubenprtorial elections across the country and the major Senate races that will determine control of the Upper Chamber. \nWe will also look at the critical elections here in Illinois and examine how this election will begin to shape the field for the 2024 presidential election. \n
