SUMMARY:Suffrage: The Battle For Women's Rights To Vote
DESCRIPTION:They were called the “Soldiers In Petticoats\,” “Iron Jawed Angels” and “Suffragettes.” After a battle that spanned the 18th and 20th centuries\, generations of brilliant\, determined women fought for the right to vote. \n2020 marked the 100th anniversary of American women being granted the Constitutional right to vote. The history of women voting is important\, but little-known\, crusade for civil rights in America. \nThe struggle was long\, arduous\, and dangerous. Although many Americans know the name of Susan B. Anthony (click here to read how she was arrested for voting!) most are unfamiliar with the long list of brave women who led the 150-year-old movement!

SUMMARY:Our First First Ladies
DESCRIPTION:The Founding Father never gave a moment’s thought to the role of the President wife. In fact\, the term “First Lay” itself would be unknown for fifty years! \nNonetheless\, the first women to hold the title of “First Lady”  were in amazing group of strong and dedicated women! Martha Washington\, Abigail Adams and Dolley Madison\, in particular\, were vastly influential in ways the country did not yet recognize. They were very different one from another and each added something unique and wonderful to the national experience. Beginning with Martha Washington we will trace the early years of the first ladies.
