SUMMARY:Ike – A Biography of the Private Life Of A Great American
DESCRIPTION:Ike –  A Biography of the Private Life Of A Great American\nVery few Americans have ever had an impact on the world that could equal that of Dwight David Eisenhower. \nHe did a brilliant job as commander of allied forces in World War II\, despite having very limited combat experience. Click here to read a fascinating\, little-known story about how General Eisenhower was prepared to take full responsibility if the D-Day invasion had failed \nAfter serving ably as President of Columbia University and Supreme Commander of NATO\, Dwight Eisenhower did a superb job as president of the United States of America\, despite having no experience in politics whatsoever. After his retirement\, he was still called on to advise his young successor\, John F. Kennedy at moments of crisis. \nIke was one of the great Americans of all time. Eisenhower was widely admired and enormously respected by a public that really did not know him very well. Few Americans could tell you much about Ike’s parents\, his brothers\, his religious faith\, his relationship to his wife and his children. Did you know that Dwight Eisenhower was a superb athlete who once tackled Jim Thorpe? Or that he was quietly one of the most religious presidents in the history of the USA? \nThis multimedia presentation will serve as a fascinating biography illuminating the private life of one of the most admired Americans of all time.

SUMMARY:Robert F. Kennedy - Fallen Leader
DESCRIPTION:Imagine If RFK Had Not Been Shot\n \n  \nThe election of 1968 was a tipping point in American History. Protests over the war in Vietnam. marches for Civil Rights\, demands for change roiled the country.  And then\, just months apart\, Martin Luther King and RFK were murdered.  The Democratic Convention of 1968 descended into chaos\, George Wallace entered the race and Richard Nixon squeaked out a victory. \nNow ask: what would have happened if RFK had not been murdered and had run against Nixon in the general election. We’ll assume that he would have won all the states won by Humphrey.  Then\, it seems reasonable to assume\, he would have won Illinois\, California and New Jersey\, which Humphrey lost despite their strong Democratic tilt.  With those states\, RFK would have been President. \nWhat gun control laws\, civil rights laws and environmental laws would he have championed?  How many men who would die in Vietnam would have lived?  The speculation is fascinating! \nThis probing multimedia biography will explore the growth and development of RFK personality and the amazing events that surrounded his short and meaningful life.

SUMMARY:The Ten Greatest American Presidents
DESCRIPTION:The Ten Best American Presidents\n \nHow do we determine who were the greatest Presidents? \nOne recent poll of the American public disclosed that they believed Bill Clinton is the greatest President of all time! \nAnother recent poll\, this one only of Republicans showed that 5% of them considered George W. Bush was the greatest President of all time! \nSo…Let’s not ask the public! \nWhen historians are asked to compile their lists of the greatest Presidents\, they usually \nchoose Washington\, Lincoln\, and FDR as the best. (apologies to both Presidents Bush and Clinton!) \nBut after those three\, the lists become intriguing.  Does Truman belong in the pantheon?  How about Jefferson\, Jackson\, Theodore Roosevelt\, Reagan or Polk? Can a case be made on behalf of Madison\, Cleveland\, JFK or Wilson?  The debate is fun and the comparisons exciting!  I will prevent my intentionally provocative choices in this fast moving multimedia presentation. \n
