As an experienced pilot\, he wanted to serve his country in combat. Although he entered the service is a private\, he was eventually promoted to brigadier general. James Stewart served bravely  often flying combat missions in the most dangerous situations.  He won many awards from the military and was a lifelong spokesman for the Air Force. We will look at his heroic service and the enormous personal toll it took on him.

He made more than 50 films as a leading man and yet never won an Oscar!  In fact\, his looks\, voice\, and persona make him the personification of the leading man. Cary Grant starred in some of the greatest screwball/romantic comedies ever made. “Bringing up Baby\,” “His Girl Friday\,” & “The Philadelphia Story”  are just the tip of the iceberg for his great career in light comedy. \nIn the 1940s\, Grant made a number of very well received action pictures. \nAnd then  in the 1950s\, he transitioned into dramatic roles.
