DESCRIPTION:  \nOur incredible learning community is going to have a (virtual) Election Day Party!  Republican or Democrat\, liberal or conservative\, all are welcome!  We will meet three times during the day so that I can give you the latest exit poll results\, information about voter turnout\, and updated prediction maps.  Between 5 and 6 pm\, we will have an open forum where you can ask any question of political scientist Kelly Jones-Wagy and me\, share your opinions\, and learn about the races.  Of course\, you do not need to join us for every session – join us to celebrate democracy\, even in an odd year!  This will be our celebration of learning\, friendship\, and democracy! \nVirtual Election Day Party: Tentative schedule: (All Times Central) \n11:30 -12:00 I’ll have lots of information about voter turnout and trends.! \n5:00 – 6:00 An hour-long open forum with elections expert and award-winning political scientist Kelly Jones-Wagy and me.  Before we start getting the first vote totals\, this is your chance to ask about any candidate\, race\, procedure\, or state- and we will answer live!  As time permits\, an open discussion where you can share your views and opinions will be available. \n9:30 —We should have significant results from the East. Before the West Coast results come in\, we will offer a characterization of the race. The networks can’t call an election before they have firm vote totals.
