]]> Born in Chicago, Kim Novak was one of the most popular movie stars in the world between 1955 in 1960. For a brief shimmering period of time, novak2her films were immensely popular and critically applauded.  Her performance in Alfred Hitchcock’s classic psychological thriller, Vertigo, is often considered to be one of the best on-screen performances ever given by an actress. She costarred with Jack Lemmon, Frank Sinatra, Tyrone Power and William Holden among other Hollywood luminaries. While her later career never matched up to the stunning successes of her earlier films, Kim Novak is often considered to be one of the best actresses never to win an Academy award.
