First Wednesday: Dessert, Coffee, Books, and Talk

New Program!

My friends in Deerfield have been requesting the return of evening programming. I am so excited to announce the launch of an exciting new program! On the first Wednesday of each month, I will host a book discussion followed by a one-hour presentation related to the theme of the book.  all of the sessions will take place at the beautiful Patty Turner Center.

You are encouraged to read the book, but it is not a requirement. Dessert and coffee will be provided during the book chat which will be from 6:45 PM until 7:30 PM. My talk will run from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Come and meet other adults anxious for good conversation and a chance to learn!

For September, chosen a classic book and a contemporary presentation. Both involve life among the upper class in Europe and center around people who tried to find a purpose in life.

Theme: Searching for Meaning in Life
Book: “The Razor’s Edge” by W Somerset Maugham
Presentation: “Diana: Life and Death of the People’s Princess.”
