1922 – America One Hundred Years Ago (PM)

57 years after his murder at the hands of terrorists, Abraham Lincoln’s magnificent memorial was opened in 1922. Lincoln’s son, Robert, was still alive to see this extraordinary testament to his father’s hopes for America . The grand celebration was a hopeful note of reconciliation in a year that brought great change, excitement, turmoil, and controversy.
Join us as our time capsule lands in 1922. We will look at America as it looked 100 years ago. Among our topics:
√ Who were the famous people who were born and died in 1922? (We lost Alexander Graham Bell but gained Betty White!)’
√ What were the most important inventions of 1922? (Water skis, anyone?) 
√ What were the most important news stories of 1922?
√ How much did everyday items cost?
√ What music, movies, and performers were popular?
All of this and so much more as you join us for a 1922 time capsule program!!!
