1945

March 26, 2020 @ 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

1945 Newspaper War OverJoin me in our time capsule for this amazing look back at one of the most important years in the history of the world: 1945.

In 1945 World War II finally came to an end. After the deaths of both Adolph Hitler and Franklin D. Roosevelt, the evil Nazi empire finally surrendered. In the Pacific Theatre, fierce battles came to an end with the dropping of the world’s first atomic bombs. The destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki ended the war – but ushered in a vastly more dangerous era.

We will look at the most popular movies, radio shows and songs of 1945, discover what famous were born and which died during the year, learn about what everyday consumer items cost and look back at the amazing, ultimately heartbreaking World Series run of the Chicago Cubs!

America 75 years ago was very different – and tremendously important to how we live today.
