Nixon was sworn in, promising to heal the woulnds of our fractured nation. The year veered from unbelievabe highs to infathomable lows.
It was 1969 when Neil Armstrong became the first human being to step on the moon, Charles Manson directed grisly murders and Woodstock highlighted the Cultural Revolution. And no fan of the Chicago Cubs can ever forget the promise and failure of 1969!
