1994 – History In Perspective

Bill Clinton was the President, but a Republican landslide in the 1994 Congressional elections led to the Whitewater investigation and, ultimately, to a vote to impeach the President. Politics had become a “blood sport” and the “politics of personal destruction” became the norm.

Although there were wars in Rwanda and Bosnia, many Americans were  upset by the Major League Baseball strike. And the story of the year was the arrest of O. J. Simspson for murder!

We will look at how America lived in 1994. From the cost of everyday items to the results of the Cubs, Sox, Bears and Bulls seasons, we will look at many aspects of American life. 1994 gave PlayStation and the first predator drones, the death of Jackie Kennedy and Richard Nixon and the birth of Justin Bieber and Sairoise Ronan.
