Aaron Sorkin On TV

Aaron Sorkin created four fascinating television shows. When we think about Aaron Sorkin on TV, our minds jump to “The West Wing.” It is rightfully considered one of the most outstanding television programs ever to air.
We will look at the other three great Aaron Sorkin TV shows in this fun, fast, and fascinating presentation.
Chronologically, the first was Sports Night, a fictionalized look behind the scenes at the 
most popular show on an all-sports network. This fantastic show, loosely based on Keith Olbermann on “Sports Center” on ESPN, was a critical smash but never found a large audience. You will wonder why after seeing clips of this beautiful show!
Second up will be “Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip.” Probably the least popular of the Aaron Sorkin on TV offerings, this show attempt to look behind the curtain of a fictionalized version of “Saturday Night Live.”
Finally, we will examine “The Newsroom.” This, in all likelihood, will be Sorkin’s last television series.
Once again, Aaron Sorkin dramatized the behind-the-scenes events at a television network. This time, his target is a fictionalized CNN. Sorkin tried to write scripts that reflected real-life events happening in real-time!
Each of these shows was brilliant, yet frustrating, but always fascinating!
