Election Day Party

Our incredible learning community will have a (virtual) Election Day Party! Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative, all are welcome! We will meet at 45 minutes after the hour, for about 13 minutes) from 11:45 AM to 12:45 AM with expert analysis. Between 5 and 6 PM, we will have an open forum where you can ask any question of political scientist Kelly Jones-Wagy and me, share your opinions and learn about the races. Of course, you do not need to join us for every session – join us to celebrate democracy, even in an odd year! This will be our celebration of learning, friendship, and democracy!

Virtual Election Day Party: Tentative schedule: (All Times Central)

11:45 – Wisconsin

12:45 – Pennsylvania

1:45 – Georgia

2:45 – Arizona

3:45 – Illinois and Alaska

4:45: Ohio

5:00 – 6:00 An hour-long open forum with elections expert and award-winning political scientist Kelly Jones-Wagy and me. Before we start getting the first vote totals, this is your chance to ask about any candidate, race, procedure, or state, and we will answer live! As time permits, an open discussion where you can share your views and opinions will be available.

6:45 – We should have significant results from the East. I’ll break down what we know and don’t know! We will talk about North Carolina, Kansas, and Utah races.

7:45 – We should have significant results from the Midwest. I’ll break down what we know and don’t know!

8:45 – We should have early results from the Great Plains. I’ll break down what we know and don’t know!

9:45- We will look at where the race is at as we await votes from the Democratic strongholds on the Pacific Coast. Kelly Jones-Way rejoins us for questions!

10:45 – As more returns come in…

11:45 – …we look at the Senate…

12:45 – ….we will have a great sense of the composition of the next Congress

Quite obviously, I am investing A LOT of time and effort into preparing this event, including behind-the-scenes interviews with experts from across the nation, and then I will be working hard all day and through the night.

As a result, I ask you for a voluntary donation of $25.00. If you cannot afford it or feel my programs are not worth $25.00, you are invited to pay less or come for free. If you only plan to go to the 5 PM – 6 PM Q+A, the suggested donation is $10.00.

I hope to create a unique experience for us all! Since I am unemployed but supporting a family, I understand living on a tight budget with compassion! Your support is deeply appreciated!
