The Films Of Philip Seymour Hoffman
Philip Seymour Hoffman was one of the greatest actors of the modern generation. Had his life not ended in a self-administered drug overdose at age 46, he may well have become recognized as one of the all time greats. As it is, he left an impressive and magnificent body of work. Today we will look at the films of this tremendous, troubled, and talented actor.
He was an extraordinarily hard-working actor, having appeared in some fifty films over two decades. Hoffman often played very unsympathetic roles, unafraid to be unlikable on-screen. He also appeared on Broadway many times, earning three Tony nominations. After 23 years of sobriety, he again became addicted to drugs and left us much too soon.
Among his most notable films/roles:
Almost Famous
Big Lebowski
Capote
Charlie Wilson’s War
Hunger Game
Ides Of March
Magnolia
Mission Impossible III
Moneyball
Scent Of A Woman
Talented Mr. Ripley
Twister
