Finding Neverland
February 27, 2017 @ 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM
I simply LOVE going to see just about anything playing on Broadway. Nonetheless, when I was (somewhat reluctantly) taken by
my daughter to see “Finding Neverland” in New York, I’ll admit my expectations were not very high.
And was I ever wrong! Finding Neverland proved to be an extremely powerful and moving in very unexpected ways. It is my pleasure to present a unique multimedia presentation on both the show and the strange, complex and controversial true story on which it is based.
“Finding Neverland” is NOT the same thing as Peter Pan. Instead, it is the rich and very poignant story of how J.M. Barrie came to write “Peter Pan.” make no mistake – this is not a children’s story. It is a deep and fascinating look at the process of creation, invention and a man’s fight to reclaim himself. The music is powerful and the staging is imaginative – no wonder Broadway loved “Finding Neverland!”
PLEASE NOTE: Registration is required, but is available at the door! Contact the venue if you have any questions!
