Henry Ford was one of the most influential Americans of all time.  As the driving force behind the modern assembly line and the father of the first truly useful and affordable automobile, Ford reshaped the future of transportation, manufacturing and industry. He paid his employees a groundbreaking high wage and employed many African Americans. As the founder of Greenfield Village, he became an important and persuasive spokesman for preserving America’s cultural history. Through his charitable foundation, Ford continues to help Americans in many ways.

Yet he was also a controversial and complex man who suffered a nervous breakdown and saw his pioneering company lose astounding sums of money due to his poor business practices. He was an anti-war activist and an anti-Semite.

This unique multimedia presentation will explore Ford’s amazing contributions as well as his controversies and attempts to paint a balanced portrait of “The People’s Tycoon.”
