Howard Hughes was a man whose ambition matched his fortune—and whose inner life was as complex as it was tragic. A record-setting aviator and aviation pioneer, Hughes was also a brilliant inventor, a powerful industrialist, a legendary Hollywood producer, a Las Vegas hotel magnate, and a behind-the-scenes political power broker.
