Huntley And Brinkley

 Chet Huntley and David Brinkley were the direct competitors with Walter Cronkite during many of their years on here. And for most of the early years, the NBC team actually drew more viewers than Uncle Walter did on CBS! They were very different men with different approaches to the news and weren’t particularly close off the air. But as a serious news team, they broke important stories and offered America great insight into the events of the day.
