Here is what we know for sure.  Jack Ruby was an erratic, violent man who murdered Lee Harvey Oswald

What we cannot be certain of is WHY Jack Ruby murdered Lee Harvey Oswald.  Some conspiracy theorists jump on Rub’s ties to organized crime and claim that he shot Oswald to protect the Mob.  Others jump on his ties to the Dallas Police and say he was a hit man working for THEM! (The statements would seem contradictory, unless you assume that the Mafia and the Dallas Police conspired to murder Oswald!)
