Our presentation will not just cover Jimmy Stewart’s  phenomenal film career.

We will also look at Jimmy Stewart’s heroic service in the Army Air Corps as a pilot during World War II.  At first, Stewart was concerned that his celebrity status would relegate him to promotional appearances and goodwill tours. As an experienced pilot, he wanted to serve his country in active combat. Although he entered the service as an enlistee, he was eventually promoted to brigadier general! James Stewart served bravely often flying combat missions in the most dangerous situations.  He won many awards from the military and later became a lifelong spokesman for the Air Force. We will look at his heroic service and also at the enormous physical and emotional toll it took on him.

Small town boy turned movie star and war hero. Frank Capra could not have scripted it better!  You are you to enjoy this presentation!
