Looking Back, Looking Ahead 2014 In Review & Predictions For 2015

This is one of my most eagerly anticipated programs of the year! Each December, I present a recap of my choice for the top 10 news stories of the previous year and then make my predictions for what will be the top news stories of the next year. And just to keep me honest, I show you my list of predictions to see how well I did!

2014 brought severe challenges to America as we faced divisive midterm elections, simmering racial anger in Ferguson, Missouri, the threat of an international Ebola epidemic and a seemingly endless number of mass murders. The year had many positive highlights as well, including an unexpected run by the United States men’s national soccer team during the World Cup, a consistently improving economy, and some wonderful and important additions to our cultural scene.

Will also look at the list of the important people we lost in 2014 and begin thinking about the challenges and possibilities of the new year.
