Natalie Wood
November 18, 2021 @ 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Natalie Wood was one of the most popular and glamorous actresses of the 1950s and 60s. She starred in numerous classic films including, “Miracle on 34th St.” “Rebel Without a Cause,” “West Side Story,” “Gypsy,” “Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice,” “Splendor in the Grass,” “Sex and the Single Girl,” & “The Great Race.” Her stunning looks, popular performances, and her marriages and romances made her a staple on magazine covers for 20 years.
She’s one of the few performers to have a significant career as a child, teenager, and adult. Although critics were often less than impressed by her acting ability, she set a record by becoming only the second actress to receive three Academy Awards before she turned 25 years old! (Jennifer Lawrence and Sairose Ronan have since bested that record.)
When Natalie Wood was only 43, a mother of two, with a great career in films and television potentially still ahead, she died under mysterious – possibly criminal – circumstances in the Pacific Ocean.
This fascinating multimedia public speaking presentation will explore her troubled life, fabulous career, and the mysterious death of Natalie Wood.
