Reconsidering The Presidents

At one time, Harry Truman was generally considered to be the worst President of all time! At their worst, President Truman’s approval numbers were even lower than Presidents G. W. Bush, Jimmy Carter or Donald Trump! Yet today, many historians consider him to be one of the best Presidents! How, why, and when did this shift in historical opinion take place? Could Presidents Bush, Clinton or Trump someday be seen in a more favorable light?
The sam is true for President Ulysses S. Grant. For almost 150 years, Grant was often used as an example of a terrible President. Although public opinion polling did not exist in Grant’s day. his stock has certainly over the years.
The reverse can be true as well. Andrew Jackson’s legacy has suffered a serious decline over the years
