Cary Grant
July 18, 2018 @ 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Cary Grant was one of the biggest stars in the history of classic Hollywood cinema. He made more than 50 films as a leading man and yet never won an Oscar! In fact, his looks, voice, and persona make him the personification of the leading man. Cary Grant starred in some of the greatest screwball/romantic comedies ever made. “Bringing up Baby,” “His Girl Friday,” & “The Philadelphia Story” are just the tip of the iceberg for his great career in light comedy.
In the 1940s, Grant made a number of very well received action pictures.
And then in the 1950s, he transitioned into dramatic roles. He was particularly brilliant in “North by Northwest” one of Hitchcock’s greatest films. 1957 “An Affair To Remember” is yet another great example of Grant’s abilities as a dramatic actor.
This fast-paced presentation is loaded with film clips and interesting anecdotes about the long, legendary, and laudable career of the great Cary Grant.
