The History Of Santa Claus!

December 12, 2017 @ 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Santa - Miracle On 34th StreetWhat a great evening this will be! You will enjoy a fascinating presentation in which you will learn the fascinating history of Santa Claus!

Who doesn’t love Santa Claus? Although Santa’s origins can actually be traced to a religious figure (Saint Nicholas) in Christian lore, over the centuries Santa Claus has morphed into a universally beloved and immediately recognized symbol of kindness, charity, compassion and joy. You need not be a Christian to enjoy and appreciate his story!

In this very unique and utterly fascinating multimedia presentation, we will trace how Santa has evolved over the centuries. We’ll look at how books,Night Before Christmas movies, advertising and music have shaped and changed and recreated Santa into the figure we recognize today. Only a Grinch or a Scrooge would not like this wonderful presentation!

Please note – registration is requested! The nice people at the library will be glad to help you!
