With programs ranging from  “I Love Lucy” to Edward R. Murrow, Sid Caesar to live dramas weekly, , from rigged quiz shows, Gunsmoke, and soap operas, the 1950s were the incubator of modern television.

This unique multimedia presentation combines clips from many of the most iconic shows of the 50s with insightful analysis of how TV reflected and shaped a transformational era in American history and in American popular culture. This is not an exercise in nostalgia – we will look at the cultural changes happening in the USA as reflected by what we watched on TV.
