Thomas Edison Bright Ideas (PM)
Thomas Edison (1847–1931) was a genius—and one of the most influential inventors in history. While he wasn’t drawn to theoretical science, Edison focused on practical innovations that transformed everyday life. His inventions—such as the electric light bulb, 
the motion picture camera, the phonograph, and even early voting machines—helped spark a technological revolution that reshaped the American economy and daily experience.
But there’s much more to Edison than just his inventions.
In this fascinating multimedia biography, we’ll explore Edison as a visionary businessman, a philosopher, and a mentor. We’ll also examine some of his forward-thinking—and occasionally wrongheaded—views of society. His personal story, including struggles with hearing loss and learning disabilities, makes his accomplishments all the more extraordinary.
We’ll dive into his unusual family life, the early signs of his genius, the controversies over his patents, and some of his more eccentric beliefs. You’ll walk away with a deeper appreciation of how Thomas Edison’s bright ideas continue to light up our world—both literally and figuratively.
