After three years of tremendous bloodshed, Union losses, and a seemingly endless stalemate, President Lincoln appointed Ulysses S. Grant to head the Union Army. The War was over less than a year later. Grant saved the Union, crushed the terrorists, and helped free millions of people who were the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of kidnapping victims from the cruel system that exploited them physically and sexually.
